As we reported yesterday, Kyrie Irving has officially won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award. More surprisingly than Irving winning is the fact that somebody game Josh Selby a third-place vote even though he just played 237 minutes over the course of just 28 games.
Somehow Josh Selby got a 3rd place vote despite playing only 28 gms, 237 mins, and scoring a grand total of 63 pts…FOR THE SEASON.

Josh Selby got a Rookie of the Year vote. Did Carmelo Anthony get a ballot?

Assume the voter who gave Josh Selby a 3rd-place ROY vote did so on a dare, to see how ridiculous he/she could be before NBA revokes ballot

If you saw Josh Selby in those summer charity games, and literally never again, you would've given him a 3rd-place vote too.

Josh Selby got a third-place vote in the Rookie of the Year voting. That has to be the worst vote of the awards season, right?

Maybe I'm being too harsh on Josh Selby. He did have two nine-point games and averaged 2.3 ppg, 1.1 apg and 34.7 FG% his rookie season!

Disappointed in whoever gave Josh Selby a third-place vote. Why not go all the way and put him 1st? Go hard or go home.
