One of the best days of my life was the day my little sister was born.
She’s 16 now, but I can still remember meeting her for the first time like it was yesterday. When I held her in my arms, my heart nearly exploded. There are few words that could do justice to the bond that connects us. Even when we’re arguing, we share the love of sisters, and that is a very powerful thing.
And that type of love is so profound, in fact, that it can even make a toddler stop crying! Three-year-old Ellia woke up from her nap feeling grumpy one day, but as soon as she saw her baby sister, that sad face gave way to a big smile.
“I love her so much!” Their mom, Esther, said it was “one of those sweet moments that makes every frustration of parenting completely worth it.”
If you’ll excuse me, I have to go grab a tissue and call my sis!
